The Abenwu Title Given To Rev. DR. Jerry Agabison Has Nothing To Do With Idol Worship Amid HRH. Christopher Apaki

THE ABENWU TITLE GIVEN TO REV. DR. JERRY AGABISON HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IDOL WORSHIP.

HRH the Abiseku of Abise Hon. Christopher Apaki throw more light over the misunderstanding wallowing on social media concerning the title given to one of Jukun Wanu industrious sons, Dr. Jerry A. Agabison that it has nothing to do with Idol worship.

My attention has been privately drawn by some loving individuals to pictures that went viral on Facebook regarding Dr. Jerry A. Agabison’s title and his picture with some youths in procession and AHWYINA/NYADODO (Masquerade) during the Jukun day celebration of 26th Dec 2021 in Abise.

HRH. Abise Ku Of Abise Christopher Apaki says The fact is he did not intentionally pose in a picture with NYADODO for in the process of entering the arena and the NYADODO was behind him and the photo was taken and he wasn’t also the one that posted the picture on Facebook or other platforms.

Secondly, his ABENWU title has nothing to do with Idol worship for it was an honour bestowed upon him by his people “The Jukun Wanu”.

All the negative comments, accusations and speculations are uncalled for…

He is a bonafide Jukun son and can be awarded by his People and he has every right to participate in the cultural celebrations, which is a normal celebration of the cultural heritage of the Jukun people done in the OPEN SQUARE.
