POFFESSOR VINCENT ADO TENEBE HANDS OVER POWER AS THE VICE CHANCELLOR OF TARABA STATE UNIVERSITY JALINGO
The out gone Vice Chancellor of Taraba State University Jalingo, Professor Vincent Ado Tenebe handed over power to the acting principal officers of the University.
He occupied the post of Vice Chancellor of Taraba State University for a period of Five Years (1st March, 2017 – 28th February2022)
Election was recently conducted to feel the vacant Principal Offices of the University, The Visitor of the university.
Gov. Dirus Dickson Ishaku recently pronounced Professor Sunday Paul Bako as the new vice Chancellor of the University.
The great Icon will be immensely missed as he contributed grately to the development of the University.
He established five (5) more faculties and increase the Students admission capacity of the university from two thousands Five Hundred to over seven thousands.
He awarded scholarship to many students and staff of the university.
I never benefited from any of his good and kind gestures but I can testified that he has impacted many lives.
In appreciation of his good and kind gestures, the Students Affairs Division organized a sentford in honor of the Proffesor for his outstanding leadership style.
WHO IS PROFESSOR TENEBE?

Professor Vincent Ado Tenebe is a public servant with 34 years of post-graduation working experience in the academics and management of higher education. He worked in reputable universities in Nigeria such as the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi; and the National Open University of Nigeria, and Taraba State University.
Professor Tenebe held the prestigious position of Vice-Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria; the most populated and most widespread university in the Country and the whole of West Africa from 2010 to 2016. He is the outgone Vice-Chancellor of the Taraba State University, Jalingo; one of the fastest growing universities in Nigeria.
As a talented teacher and researcher, he has supervised many graduate and postgraduate students in Agriculture, Education and Management Sciences, and has over 200 published papers in national and international journals with a record of attending conferences and workshops in over 40 countries across the world.
He belongs to over 20 professional associations and a Fellow of over ten Learned Associations and Institutions.
Professor Tenebe is a practicing farmer whose include sports, photography, music, travelling, gardening and floriculture.
He is happily married with children and grandchildren.
