BIOGRAPHY OF LORD ANDE ADAKI

Lord Ande , also known as Lord Ande of Africa or Lord of Guitar is not just an artiste but a naturally gifted music/moral philosopher who uses his music as a tool to preach unity, emancipation, justice, morality, love and correct social ills in Africa. He is a fearless singer who tries to address through his songs the social vices bedeviling our society. He challenges religious, traditional, and political leaders to lead their followers right for a better society. As a trained sociologist, Lord Ande uses his music to philosophize on solving societal problems. Nicknamed Lord of Guitar for his dexterity/skillfulness in playing the guitar, the legendary Lord Ande of Africa has made a lifelong Impact through his music that will remain for a lifetime. Although he is coming from the famous family of Adaki, Lord Ande has successfully created a distinct name and place for himself in history, through his God-given talent (music).He has become a role model and a mentor to many because of the grace and gift of God upon his life and the impact he is making.

EARLY LIFE
Lord Ande Adaki, a son to Hon. Iratsi Yohanna Adaki and Mrs.Ladi Yohanna Adaki, was born and bred in Pangtso; a community in Ussa Local Government Area of Taraba state where he was groomed according to African norms and values of respect for elders, honesty, modesty, humility and hard work.

EDUCATIONAL LIFE
One interesting thing that surprises people about Lord Ande of Africa is how he is able to run his music career (passion) simultaneously alongside his educational engagements and doing well in both. Lord Ande Adaki had his primary education in Government Primary School, Pangtso where he obtained his first school leaving certificate. After that, he proceeded to Government Day Secondary School Kpampo Puri and had part of his junior secondary education there until he was moved by his parents to Government Model College, Katsina-Ala, Benue State, to complete his secondary education. In 2004, he wrote JAMB, passed and gained admission to study Sociology at the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he bagged his first degree. After serving in Lafia, Nassarawa State as a corp member, he applied and gained admission for his master’s degree at the University of Wolverhampton, United Kingdom in 2013, after which he returned to Nigeria. As a lover of education, Lord Ande Adaki is currently running his doctorate degree (PhD) at a Nigerian Federal University.

PHILOSOPHY ABOUT LIFE
Lord Ande believes that everyone should be treated equally regardless of his/her background, ethnicity, social class, race and religion. He believes that Justice is a major solution to peace in our society. He values humility and hardwork.

MUSIC LIFE
Lord Ande started music at a very tender age. He started in Pangtso where he used to construct modern instruments’ lookalike from local materials such as empty milk tin, cassava stems and wooden carvings as guitar. He had his local band group which used to minister in the church as it also entertained people within Pangtso and other nearby villages. As Already designed by God, he started this music in the village without knowing he would come this far. In 1999, he started learning the modern musical instrument (guitar) through the church (RCCN Kaduna Lissam) and today it’s history. At that local level, Lord Ande mastered the guitar and was always invited to play in many occasions (weddings, concerts, etc). Still at that early stage, he took his time to train himself on the guitar up to a professional level. He later played professionally with many talented musicians and bands across the country in places such as Abuja, Zaria, Katsina, Gombe, Kano, Zamafara, Kaduna and eastern part of the country, until he traveled out of the country is 2013. Upon his return to Nigeria after his master’s, he set up a music studio with the studio equipment he came back with. This helped in the frequency at which he released new songs.

STYLE OF MUSIC
Lord Ande is a very versatile musician but his primary pattern of music is Highlife and African style of music, always garnished with melodious and jazzy guitar-playing skills. In most cases, he allows melodious guitar-filled interlude in his songs, as he communicates his message with philosophically-worded points through the interlude. Some of the people that have influenced his style of music includes Chief Oliver De Coque, Chief Stephen Osita Osadebe, King Sunny Ade, Ebenezer Obey, Tu Face, Flavour and Phyno amongst others.

DISCOGRAPHY
Lord Ande has composed and released so many recordings that we may not be able to mention. He has also featured many artists within Nigeria. He has more than 300 released songs to his name already and still counting. Some of his popular songs include, Coke and Fanta, Lord Ande in America, Tarabans(we are one),Indomie, Fake Number, Celebrity Lecturer, Womanizer, Enemies, Ni Tuba, Give Me Justice, International Flight, Pallia-Thieves,70 X70,etc. He has also performed in some top events/occasions in the country.

FAN BASE
Lord Ande has a big and growing fan base both within and outside Nigeria. He has many fans in the US, UK, Cameroon, etc. In Kutebland and Taraba State which are his primary constituencies, Lord Ande is considered a living legend based on his achievements through music and his fan base is very large.

RECORD LABEL AND RECORDING STUDIO
Lord Ande is the owner/CEO of a record label called STRINGZLORD ENTERTAINMENT and a recording studio STRINGZLORD STUDIO. He is also a producer and produces all his songs himself.

Lord Ande is a lecturer with the Department of Sociology, Taraba State University Jalingo
